The Lock Technology Gray 100ft/lbs 1/2″ Drive Torque Extension (1400C) is a specialized tool designed to simplify and improve the safety of wheel installation. This torque-limiting bar is an essential component for any professional or enthusiast working on vehicle wheels. It works by absorbing excess force from an impact wrench once a pre-set torque value of 100 ft-lbs is reached. This crucial function prevents the common issue of over-tightening lug nuts, a problem that can lead to significant and costly damage. The extension is engineered to be used on a wide variety of foreign and domestic cars and light trucks, providing a consistent and accurate result on every application. Its gray color-coding allows for easy identification, making it simple to grab the correct tool for the job.KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS: Prevents Over-Torquing: Specifically calibrated to limit torque to 100 ft-lbs, avoiding damage to wheel studs, brake rotors, and wheels. Ensures Proper Fastening: Provides consistent torque, ensuring wheel nuts meet manufacturer specifications for safer installations. Protects Wheels with Tight Clearances: Prevents scratches and marring on modern wheels with tight tolerances. Universal Compatibility: Works with both thin-wall and regular lug nut sockets for versatile use.SPECIFICATIONS: Drive Size: 1/2 inch Torque Rating: 100 ft-lbs (135 N.M.)
