Connect Air Supply: Connect the sander to an air compressor using a compatible air hose. Ensure the air pressure is set to 90 PSI for optimal performance. Adjust Speed (if desired): Utilize the variable air (VA) control to set the desired RPM for your specific sanding task. Lower speeds are suitable for delicate work, while higher speeds are for more aggressive material removal. Engage Sander: Hold the sander firmly against the surface to be sanded, then depress the trigger to start the random orbital action. Sanding Technique: Move the sander in overlapping circular or elliptical patterns across the surface. Apply consistent, light pressure, allowing the sander to do the work. Avoid pressing down too hard, as this can reduce efficiency and leave swirl marks. Monitor Dust (if applicable): If using with a vacuum system, ensure the vacuum hose is properly connected to the swivel port to manage dust effectively. Turn Off: Release the trigger to stop the sander. Disconnect the air supply when finished or when changing discs.BENEFITS OF USING HUTCHINS 6″ PSA 6-HOLE 3/16″ OFFSET GENERAL PURPOSE SANDER (3960): Achieves exceptionally smooth and consistent finishes on various materials, reducing the need for extensive post-sanding work.
