Key Features

100 lb CapacityThe Milwaukee PACKOUT Large Tool Box is built to carry up to 100 lbs, so you can load real jobsite gear instead of babying the box. That matters when you want fewer trips from the truck to the work area. Weather-Sealed ProtectionThe IP65 rated weather seal helps keep out rain and jobsite debris. If your storage lives in the back of a truck, trailer, or unfinished space, that extra protection is not optional. PACKOUT System FitIntegrated locking cleats let this box connect with all Milwaukee PACKOUT components. That gives you one stackable storage setup instead of a pile of mismatched boxes sliding around the jobsite.

Overview

The Milwaukee PACKOUT Large Tool Box 48-22-8425 is a modular storage box built for contractors, service techs, and serious DIY users who need durable, stackable tool storage that can move with them from truck to jobsite. This is a modular tool box designed for jobsite tool storage and transport. Model Number: 48-22-8425. If you are already working out of the Milwaukee PACKOUT platform, this box gives you a larger-capacity storage option that still locks into the rest of the system.

The big selling point here is simple: it is not just a plastic box. Milwaukee builds it with impact-resistant polymers, metal reinforced corners, a reinforced hinge, heavy-duty latches, and a metal reinforced top handle. In plain terms, that means it is made to deal with the usual abuse of being loaded, stacked, dragged, and moved around unfinished spaces without turning into a cracked shell after one rough week.

The 100 lb weight capacity is what makes this box useful in the real world. You can load it with heavier hand tools, compact power tools, accessories, layout gear, or mixed trade supplies without feeling like you are pushing the box past its comfort zone. For users trying to consolidate tools into fewer cases, that capacity matters because it gives you room to build one organized setup instead of carrying loose bags and smaller boxes.

Milwaukee also gave this box an IP65 rated weather seal, which is one of the features that separates jobsite storage from basic garage storage. Rain, dust, and debris are part of daily work, especially when boxes get left in open structures, trailers, or pickup beds. The seal will not make the box indestructible, but it does add real protection for tools and accessories that you do not want exposed to moisture and grit.

Inside, the included organizer tray helps keep frequently used items separated from the main compartment. That is a practical detail, not fluff. Small hand tools, bits, fasteners, testers, or layout items can stay up top while bulkier gear rides below. The result is less digging around and less wasted time every time you open the lid.

Where this box really earns its keep is system compatibility. The Milwaukee PACKOUT Large Tool Box connects with all other PACKOUT modular storage components through integrated locking cleats, so it works as part of a full stack rather than as a standalone container. There is also a mounting location for the ONE-KEY TICK, which is useful for users managing multiple boxes, crews, or mobile inventory.

In terms of size, the exterior dimensions are listed at approximately 22.1 inches wide, 16.2 inches long or deep, and 11.1 inches high, with product weight around 12.2 lbs. That puts it in a sweet spot for users who need more room than a compact case but do not want the bulk of a full rolling chest for every job. It is large enough to be useful, but still manageable to carry on its own.

Who should buy it? This box makes the most sense for tradespeople already invested in PACKOUT, anyone building a modular tool transport setup, and users who need weather-resistant tool storage with real durability. If you want a cheap box for occasional garage use, this is more storage than you need. If you want one stackable storage platform that holds up on active jobs, the Milwaukee PACKOUT Large Tool Box 48-22-8425 is exactly the kind of box worth paying for.

Built for Jobsite Loads

This box is made for actual work, not shelf display. With a 100 lb capacity and reinforced construction, it is meant to be loaded with the kind of gear tradespeople carry every day.

  • 100 lb weight capacity supports heavier tool loads
  • Impact-resistant polymer body is built for rough handling
  • Metal reinforced corners add durability where boxes usually take hits first

Organize Without Digging

The interior organizer tray helps you separate the small stuff from the heavy stuff. That means less time unloading everything just to reach one tool at the bottom.

  • Interior organizer tray keeps common items easy to reach
  • Large lower compartment handles bulkier tools and accessories
  • Good fit for mixed storage of hand tools, compact power tools, and consumables

Secure and Weather-Ready

Milwaukee did not skip the details that matter once this box leaves the shop. The reinforced locking point, heavy-duty latches, and weather seal all add up to better protection on active jobsites.

  • IP65 rated weather seal helps block rain and debris
  • Metal reinforced locking point adds security
  • Heavy-duty latches and reinforced hinge are built for repeated opening and closing

Locks Into the PACKOUT Stack

If you use PACKOUT, this box makes sense right away. It connects with all PACKOUT components, so you can build one modular storage setup instead of carrying separate cases that do not work together.

  • Compatible with all Milwaukee PACKOUT modular storage components
  • Integrated locking cleats secure the box in the stack
  • Mounting location for the ONE-KEY TICK supports tracking setups
