The Marson 50-Pack .032-.140 Klik-Split Window Rivets (42371) are specialized blind fasteners designed for automotive window regulator installation and similar applications where the reverse side of the workpiece is inaccessible. During installation, the Klik-Split tail separates and expands to create a broad bearing surface behind the material, helping prevent pull-through in soft, brittle, or thin substrates commonly found in vehicle door assemblies. Each rivet combines an aluminum body with a coated steel mandrel to provide dependable clamping strength and vibration resistance for automotive repair and assembly work.Key Features and Benefits: Wide Bearing Surface: The split-tail design expands behind the workpiece to distribute the clamping load across a larger area. Blind Fastening Capability: Allows secure installation when only one side of the material can be accessed. Vibration Resistance: Helps keep window regulators and related components securely mounted during regular vehicle operation. Balanced Material Construction: Combines a lightweight aluminum body with a steel mandrel for reliable setting performance. Automotive Repair Compatibility: Suitable for window regulator mounting applications in compatible Ford, Chrysler, and GM vehicles.Specifications: Product Name: Marson 50-Pack .032-.140 Klik-Split Window Rivets (42371) Part Number: 42371 Pack Capacity: 50 rivets Rivet Diameter: 0.250 inch or 1/4 inch Grip Range: 0.032 to 0.140 inches Flange Diameter: 0.500 inch Minimum Hole Diameter: 0.257 inch Maximum Hole Diameter: 0.261 inch Recommended Drill Size: F Body Material: Aluminum Mandrel Material: Coated steel Installation Type: Blind fastening Compatible Nosepiece: Marson 96028 nosepiece Compatible Tools: Marson Big Daddy and Marson 39035 hand riveters Package Contents: 50 Marson 42371 Klik-Split window rivetsHow to Use: Prepare the Mounting Hole: Drill or verify a clean hole measuring between 0.257 and 0.261 inches in diameter. Install the Required Nosepiece: Attach the Marson 96028 nosepiece to a compatible hand riveter, such as the Marson Big Daddy or 39035. Align the Components: Position the window regulator or other component against the mounting surface and align the holes. Insert the Rivet: Place the rivet body completely through the aligned holes until the flange rests against the accessible surface. Load the Mandrel: Insert the steel mandrel into the riveter nosepiece while keeping the tool aligned with the fastener. Set the Rivet: Operate the riveter handles to pull the mandrel through the aluminum body and split the tail behind the material. Complete the Installation: Continue operating the tool until the mandrel separates and the expanded tail forms a secure blind-side anchor. Inspect the Connection: Confirm that the flange is seated properly and that the mounted component is stable.Benefits of Using Marson 50-Pack .032-.140 Klik-Split Window Rivets (42371): Protects Thin Materials: Broad blind-side expansion helps reduce concentrated pressure that could damage delicate door panel materials. Improves Window Regulator Stability: Secure clamping helps prevent movement caused by repeated window operation and road vibration. Simplifies Restricted-Area Repairs: One-sided installation eliminates the need to access the interior side of enclosed door structures. Supports Consistent Automotive Repairs: Standardized dimensions help match common window regulator mounting requirements. Reduces Pull-Through Risk: The expanded tail creates a larger anchor than conventional narrow-body blind rivets. Provides Multiple Installations: The 50-piece quantity supports repeated repairs and high-volume workshop use.Features: T-Style Expansion Tail: Opens during installation to create a broad anchor behind the workpiece. Half-Inch Flange: Provides increased front-side surface contact around the mounting hole. Defined Material Range: Accommodates joined materials measuring between 0.032 and 0.140 inches thick. Mixed-Metal Assembly: Uses an aluminum eyelet for controlled expansion and a steel mandrel for pulling strength. Vehicle-Oriented Dimensions: Configured for common automotive window regulator and door assembly mounting points. Specialized Tool Fitment: Designed for proper installation with a compatible riveter equipped with the Marson 96028 nosepiece. Workshop Pack Format: Supplied in a 50-count box for professional technicians and recurring repair requirements.
