The Marson 25-Pack M8x1.25 .030-0.16 Klik Poly-Nut Rivets (47413) are blind threaded inserts designed to create secure, permanent M8x1.25 threads in thin materials. Manufactured from steel with a zinc clear trivalent chromate finish, these rivet nuts can be installed when the reverse side of the workpiece is inaccessible. Their low-profile heads provide a near-flush finish without requiring countersinking or dimpling, making them suitable for metal, fiberglass, and rigid plastic components used in automotive, marine, fabrication, and industrial assembly applications.Key Features and Benefits: Near-Flush Installation: The low-profile head sits close to the material surface for a clean finish with minimal protrusion. Blind-Side Fastening: Creates a reusable threaded attachment point when only one side of the workpiece is accessible. Multiple Material Compatibility: Suitable for installation in thin metal, fiberglass, and rigid plastic substrates. Vibration Resistance: Proper installation creates a captive insert that helps resist loosening, rotation, and pull-out. Reduced Surface Preparation: Eliminates the need for traditional nuts, welding, countersinking, or panel dimpling. Corrosion Protection: Zinc clear trivalent chromate coating helps protect the steel body against oxidation.Specifications: Product Name: Marson 25-Pack M8x1.25 .030-0.16 Klik Poly-Nut Rivets (47413) Part Number: 47413 Pack Capacity: 25 Poly-Nut rivets Thread Size: M8x1.25 ISO-5H Grip Range: 0.030 to 0.165 inches or approximately 0.76 to 4.19mm Material: 1008/1010 steel Finish: Zinc clear trivalent chromate Finish Standard: ASTM B-633 Type I, Class 2 Head Type: Low profile Head Diameter: 0.540 inches Recommended Hole Size: 1/2 inch Body Style: O-style round body Installation Type: Blind threaded insert Package Contents: 25 Marson 47413 Klik Poly-Nut rivetsHow to Use: Prepare the Mounting Hole: Drill a clean 1/2-inch hole through the base material and remove any burrs or debris. Load the Insert: Thread the Marson Poly-Nut onto the mandrel of a compatible rivet nut installation tool. Position the Poly-Nut: Insert the body completely into the mounting hole until the low-profile head rests against the material surface. Set the Insert: Operate the installation tool to pull the mandrel and collapse the Poly-Nut body against the reverse side of the material. Check the Installation: Confirm that the insert is firmly compressed, properly aligned, and unable to rotate inside the hole. Remove the Tool: Unscrew or release the installation mandrel from the newly installed threaded insert. Attach the Component: Position the secondary part over the insert and secure it using a compatible M8x1.25 bolt. Inspect the Assembly: Verify that the bolt is properly tightened and that the Poly-Nut remains stable within the base material.Benefits of Using Marson 25-Pack M8x1.25 .030-0.16 Klik Poly-Nut Rivets (47413): Creates Strong Threads in Thin Panels: Provides sufficient thread engagement where the base material is too thin to be tapped directly. Eliminates Rear-Side Access: Allows threaded hardware to be installed without holding a conventional nut behind the workpiece. Maintains Panel Integrity: Controlled body deformation creates a secure attachment without welding or excessive material removal. Supports Removable Components: Creates a permanent threaded insert that accepts bolts for future component removal and reinstallation. Reduces Assembly Time: Simplifies fastening by combining blind installation and thread creation into one procedure. Suitable for Demanding Environments: Protective plating supports use in automotive, marine, and industrial structures exposed to moisture.Features: Standard Metric Threading: Accepts commonly available M8x1.25 bolts and compatible metric hardware. Low-Carbon Steel Body: Uses 1008/1010 steel formulated for controlled compression during installation. Round Body Profile: O-style geometry supports consistent positioning within a properly sized pilot hole. Defined Grip Capacity: Designed for material thicknesses ranging from 0.030 to 0.165 inches. Protective Surface Treatment: Trivalent chromate plating provides added resistance to environmental wear and oxidation. Compact Head Design: The 0.540-inch head distributes pressure while maintaining a discreet installed appearance. Convenient Package Quantity: Supplied in a 25-piece pack for repair work, limited production runs, and specialized assemblies.
