The Lang Tools High Pressure Oil System Test Kit (TU-32-8) is an indispensable diagnostic solution engineered for precise assessment of high-pressure oil systems found in select diesel engines. This professional-grade kit provides mechanics and technicians with the essential tools to accurately measure and diagnose critical oil pressure parameters, which are vital for the optimal performance and longevity of these sophisticated engine systems. Designed to specifically interact with systems utilizing ORFS (O-Ring Face Seal) connectors, the TU-32-8 simplifies the often-complex task of identifying issues related to high-pressure oil pumps, injectors, and internal leaks that can severely impact engine operation and efficiency. Its robust construction and comprehensive set of components ensure reliable and repeatable testing, making it an invaluable asset in any diesel service facility.KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS: Accurate Pressure Measurement: Features a high-capacity 10,000 PSI gauge and hose assembly, allowing for precise readings of the extreme pressures present in high-pressure oil systems. Comprehensive Diagnostic Capability: Enables the diagnosis of both inline oil pressure and oil pump deadhead pressure, providing a complete picture of the system’s health and the pump’s maximum output. Broad Engine Compatibility: Specifically designed for use with a range of engines including Ford Power Stroke (6.0L, 7.3L) and International/MaxxForce engines such as T444E, VT365E, DT-466 with EGR, MaxxForce 5, MaxxForce DT, MaxxForce 9, and MaxxForce 10, particularly those utilizing ORFS connectors. Leak Detection Support: The inclusion of a shop air adapter facilitates the introduction of shop air into the system, aiding in the identification of hard-to-find internal leaks within injectors or other components. Streamlined Testing: The inline adapter tee allows for convenient and non-intrusive connection into the high-pressure oil circuit, simplifying the testing process.SPECIFICATIONS: Included Components: 10,000 PSI Gauge and Hose Assembly Inline Adapter Tee Shop Air Adapter Male STC coupling Female STC coupling Male STC plug STC release tool Male JIC #6 adapter Female JIC #6 adapter Male JIC #6 plug Male 12mm straight thread with o-ring adapter HOW TO USE: Preparation: Ensure the engine is cool and safe to work on. Refer to the engine manufacturer’s service manual for specific procedures and safety precautions. Locate Test Port: Identify the appropriate high-pressure oil system test port or connection point on the engine, often near the high-pressure oil pump or oil rail. Connect Gauge: Select the correct adapter (e.g., STC or JIC #6) from the kit and connect it securely to the engine’s test port. Then, attach the 10,000 PSI gauge and hose assembly to the adapter. Perform Inline Pressure Test: Start the engine (if safe to do so) and observe the gauge reading to measure the inline oil pressure under various operating conditions (e.g., idle, commanded RPM). Perform Deadhead Pressure Test: If diagnosing the oil pump’s maximum output, follow specific engine manufacturer procedures, which may involve blocking the oil flow or using a specialized procedure to force the pump into a “deadhead” condition, then observe the gauge reading. Use Shop Air (for Leak Detection): If suspecting internal leaks, connect the shop air adapter to the system (after relieving residual oil pressure) and introduce shop air. Listen for air leaks at injectors, oil rail, or other components to pinpoint the source of pressure loss. Interpret Readings: Compare your measured pressure readings to the engine manufacturer’s specifications. Deviations indicate potential issues with the high-pressure oil pump, injectors, or system integrity. Disconnect Safely: Once testing is complete, slowly relieve any pressure in the system before carefully disconnecting the gauge and adapters. Reinstall any original caps or plugs.BENEFITS OF USING LANG TOOLS HIGH PRESSURE OIL SYSTEM TEST KIT (TU-32-8): Provides accurate data for informed repair decisions, reducing guesswork. Helps prevent costly component failures by identifying issues early. Optimizes engine performance by ensuring correct high-pressure oil system function. Reduces diagnostic time, improving shop efficiency and turnaround. Ensures reliable testing in demanding high-pressure environments. Supports comprehensive troubleshooting of complex diesel engine systems.FEATURES: Precision-machined adapters for secure connections. Clearly marked components for easy identification and use. Robust hose assembly designed to withstand extreme pressures. Intuitive design for quick setup and operation. Supports multiple high-pressure oil system diagnostic procedures. Compact and organized for convenient storage and transport.
