The American Forge & Foundry 75-Ton Super-Duty Shop Press (856ASD) represents a significant advancement in heavy-duty pressing equipment, engineered for demanding industrial, automotive, and general workshop applications. Built with precision and a strong focus on operator safety and efficiency, this press excels at critical tasks such as straightening, bending, pressing, and stamping. Its design incorporates a fully welded frame constructed from heavier gauge steel, providing a foundation of exceptional strength and prolonged operational life. This unit is a reliable solution for complex and large-scale pressing requirements, making it an indispensable tool for professionals seeking high performance and security in their workspace.KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS: Exceptional Structural Integrity: The fully welded frame with heavier gauge steel construction ensures the press can withstand significant force and regular use without compromise, offering long-term reliability. Enhanced Operational Versatility: A lateral head adjuster allows for smooth side-to-side movement of the press head, expanding the working range and enabling more precise positioning for diverse pressing applications. Effortless Height Adjustment: The integrated heavy-duty cable winch system facilitates easy and safe adjustment of the press bed height, accommodating various workpiece sizes and reducing manual effort for the operator. Accurate Force Monitoring: A large, liquid-filled glycerin gauge provides precise and real-time readings of the pressing force, allowing for controlled and accurate operation, preventing over-pressurization. Increased Productivity: Dual air motor operation significantly speeds up the pressing process, optimizing workflow and enhancing overall shop efficiency. Superior Operator Protection: A shatter-resistant polycarbonate guard provides a clear view of the work area while offering maximum protection against flying debris, enhancing workplace safety.SPECIFICATIONS: Capacity: 75 Tons (150,000 lbs) Ram Stroke: 9.75 inches Overall Width: 57 inches Overall Height: 77 inches Bed Depth: 10.87 inches Bed Height Adjustment Range: 6.9 – 46.7 inches Bed Rail Opening: 9.88 inches Bed Width: 31.50 inches Throat Depth: 8 inches Throat Width: 19.75 inches Number of Bed Adjustments: 6 Working Air Pressure: 110 – 125 PSI Standards: ASME PASE 2014 Duty Level: Super Duty Included with Purchase: 2-piece press plate set, 10-piece pin and bearing press adapter setHOW TO USE: Preparation: Ensure the press is on a level, stable surface and, if possible, securely bolted to the ground for maximum stability during operation. Safety First: Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection (safety glasses or face shield) and heavy work gloves. Ensure the polycarbonate safety guard is correctly positioned. Connect Air Supply: Connect an air compressor to the press, ensuring the air pressure is within the specified working range (110-125 PSI). Adjust Bed Height: Use the heavy-duty cable winch system to raise or lower the press bed to the desired height, allowing sufficient clearance for your workpiece and tooling. Lock the bed securely in place. Position Workpiece: Place the item to be pressed onto the press plates on the bed. Ensure it is stable and centered under the ram. Use appropriate tooling (such as the included pin and bearing adapters) as needed. Position Press Head: If necessary, use the lateral head adjuster to slide the press head horizontally to precisely align the ram with the workpiece. Initiate Pressing: Begin applying pressure using the dual air motor operation. Monitor the liquid-filled glycerin gauge to observe the pressing force being applied. Monitor and Stop: Continuously monitor the workpiece and the gauge. Stop applying pressure once the desired outcome is achieved or if the maximum capacity is approached. Release Pressure: Retract the ram by releasing the pressure. Remove Workpiece: Safely remove the pressed item and any tooling from the press.BENEFITS OF USING AMERICAN FORGE & FOUNDRY 75-TON SUPER-DUTY SHOP PRESS (856ASD): Provides significant pressing power for heavy-duty industrial and automotive components. Increases operational safety through integrated protective features and robust design. Reduces manual effort and strain with the efficient cable winch system for bed adjustments. Offers a broader range of applications due to the versatile lateral head adjustment. Enables precise and controlled pressing operations with accurate force measurement.
